Couple enjoying the Kata Tjuta landscape

Kata Tjuta

Kata Tjuta was previously known as the Olgas and today proudly takes the name of the original owners.

Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) is made up of 36 formations with highest point rising 546 metres above the ground making it 200 metres higher than Uluru. Visitors can enjoy many hikes around part or all of the 22 kilometre circumference (Uluru is 10 kilometres in circumference) or head off on the Walpa Gorge walk at just 2.6 kilometres.

There is a location within the grooves on the Walpa Gorge walk made famous by the movie Priscilla Queen of the Desert and it is here where you will find visitors standing in star formation for an iconic photograph.

A purpose built viewing platform set well away from Kata Tjuta provides a vantage point for panoramic views of the Kata Tjuta at sunrise and sunset.
